You are required to submit a personal essay of no more than 500 words (approximately two pages double spaced) explaining why you should be admitted to this program. The scholarliness of your response will be evaluated during the application review process. Grammar, spelling, punctuation, clarity of writing, and organization of the essay will be considered.

1. Applicants to the Master of Nursing: Nurse Practitioner (MN:NP) should include the following in their personal essay:

• Your primary reasons for applying to the Graduate Centre for Nursing and Health Studies, Master of Nursing: Nurse Practitioner (MN:NP) program.
• The specific skills, resources, and experiences that will facilitate your success in this program.
• What your personal and professional aspirations are and how participation in this program relates to your future career goals?
• How you plan to balance other competing factors in your life or work with the demands of this program.
• NP stream applicants, please also describe your interest in primary healthcare.
