For your powerpoint presentation at the end of the semester, you must perform research on any topic of your choice as long as it relates to Physical Geography. Every student topic is individual and unique, meaning no two students can choose the same topic. Recall that Physical Geography encompasses disciplines of meteorology, climatology, biology, and geology. Areas of study that may help you decide on a topic include: extreme weather events, climate change impact on a region, plants and animals, volcanoes, earthquakes, tsunamis, etc. No student can choose topics occurring in the United States or the following topics that are covered in the notes: the 2010 Haitian earthquake, the 2011 Japanese earthquake and tsunami, and the 2004 Boxing Day earthquake and tsunami in the Indian Ocean.
